Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic Christmas fantasy comedy film that came out in 2000. The movie was the first Dr Seuss’s book to be adapted into a full-length feature film, and viewers thoroughly enjoyed it. The film grossed $345 million worldwide on its release and became the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2000.
The plot is about the Grinch. It is a grumpy, solitary creature who tries to cancel Christmas by stealing Christmas gifts and decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, he realizes that Christmas is not all about money and presents by Christmas Eve.
The movie stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch. Carrey is well known for roles in Me, Myself & Irene, Bruce Almighty, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and many more. The actor decided to retire from the film industry in April 2022, claiming that he had enough and had done enough work for this lifetime.
Taylor Momsen plays the character of Cindy Lou Who. She is known for her character, Jenny Humphrey, in the popular teen drama Gossip Girl. Jeffrey Tambor played Mayor Augustus MayWho and is known for Transparent, George Bluth Sr. and many more. Christine Baranski stared as Martha May Whoever. She is well known for The Good Wife, The Good Fight and more.
