Warning: Spoliers ahead.

Swedish series Young Royals has finally returned with its second season.

Following the dramatic season of romance and a love triangle, Simon needed some time apart from Wilhelm after the sex tape fallout in season 1. He discovered himself in the company of a new love interest, and even Marcus realized that Simon wasn’t over Wilhelm.

But did Simon and Wilhelm get back together in Young Royals season 2?

In the second season of Young Royals, Simon and Wilhelm reunite secretly, with Simon finally warning Wilhelm that he loves him. Wilhelm then delivers the Jubilee welcome speech on the podium and, in a shocking twist, tells the world that he was indeed a part of the sex tape. Wilhelm does not want to hide anymore and wants everyone to know that he loves Simon.

The season ends with the two sharing a look after the speech. Although it’s good that the couple is on good terms again, it’s obvious that they’re going to have a lot of obstacles ahead of them once the show gets renewed. The expression on Queen Kristina’s face says just about everything. It might not be smooth from here, but at least Wilhelm and Simon can deal with the storm together this time.
