If someone had said that there would be so many dating TV shows, no one would imagine there would be so many choices. Across cable networks and streaming services, there are so many options of entertainment overall but especially dating-type shows. Choices are good to have though. The creators of Love Island are in the works of a new version of the hit show: one for mature adults finding love.
Title to be named, this new version will be for adults in their 40s to 50s who are still looking for love and maybe even that second chance at love. The show, though, is looking for adults in that age range who are still in shape, in touch with the latest trends, and still feel youthful. So, still kind of looking for the same shallow-ish type people, just older. Something, where we accept and show all body types and sexualities, would be better but that would be too much to ask and for people to handle probably.
More Info About The Show
Love Island is receiving backlash for its latest season where one of the contestants talks about how he treated another on the show when they were in a relationship, highlighting his controlling ways. One women’s group has this to say in response:
“At Women’s Aid we are being tagged into a stream of Twitter posts, with viewers of Love Island highlighting the misogyny and controlling behaviour being shown on screen. This is clearly more than talking about any individual contestants, and a programme based around the formation of romantic relationships must have guidelines on what behaviour is acceptable and unacceptable in those relationships. We are talking to ITV, and they have shared with us information on their inclusion training, but what appears to be missing is specific information on abusive relationships and an understanding of controlling behaviour in relationships.”

The family of Luca Bish, the contestant who went off about his controlling ways, issued a statement on his behalf:
“I want to apologise on behalf of Luca for his insensitive reaction on last night’s episode. I know that when he watches it back, he will be embarrassed and deeply apologetic.”

If your family has to apologize to you, that’s not a good sign and is not being received well by fans. Oh, reality TV is never without drama!
