Popé-mon Go! New Religious App Endorsed By Vatican

Gotta Catch All Those… Saints?!

If you’re concerned that Pokémon Go doesn’t align with your religious views, then this is the app for you.

Follow JC Go! is the newest ‘catch-em-all’ game. However, instead of capturing little Japanese pocket monsters you interact with your favourite religious figures. The app was created by Fundación Ramón Pané, a Catholic evangelical group.

If you want to level up in the game, then you will have to brush up on your Bible general knowledge. To progress, you will be quizzed when you meet a Saint on your travels. If you get the questions right, then you are able to join the Saint’s e-team (or evangelical team). Also, instead of collecting Pokéballs and Potions, you can get virtual food, water and spirituality.

The app promotes making the most out of Catholicism, don’t worry!

If you pass a church, the app encourages you to go in and pray. Furthermore, if you pass a hospital it asks you to pray for the sick. It is also possible to donate to charity through the app in exchange for in-app money.

This game was not made in conjunction with the Vatican. Although, the Pope is allegedly a fan. We wonder if any money made goes directly back to the Catholic church, hence why it is being embraced by the highest Catholic power.

If you’d rather something a little more old school, then how about the re-released Playstation classic?
