Pete Davidson is known for his long-standing role on Saturday Night Live as well as his previous relationship and engagement to Ariana Grande. The pair broke off their engagement in 2018, and the singer has a song on her album ‘Sweetener’ dedicated to Pete, suitably named ‘Pete Davidson’.
Kim Kardashian, the famous socialite and reality star of ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’, has now divorced from 44-year-old rapper, Kanye West. The couple have four children together and have decided to share custody.
Kim cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reasoning for the divorce, and seemingly has moved on already.
How Did The Relationship Begin?
Kim and Pete recently appeared on SNL together in a skit where Pete portrayed Aladdin and Kim, Princess Jasmine. Initially, the pair’s appearance together did not spark talk of romance, despite them sharing a kiss in the scene.
Over the coming weeks, the two made several public appearances together holding hands and even wearing matching outfits.
The first thing to raise eyebrows was the age difference between Kardashian and Davidson, with Kim being thirteen years his senior.
The budding romance also seemed to happen fairly swiftly after Kimye’s divorce, which Kim filed for just eight months ago after the couple spent six years together.
With the Kardashian family being renowned for their effective PR, it didn’t take long for the public to speculate about the authenticity of this relationship.

The almost-too-perfect images captured of the couple in the press have raised some suspicions around the relationship.
Fans quickly took to TikTok to debate their theories about Kim and Pete. The basis of the conspiracy theory is that the two are simply too different to be a real couple.
Some have questioned whether Kim started seeing Pete to take attention away from her sister Kourtney Kardashian, and her new romance with Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. As Kim has always typically been the most famous Kardashian, the conspiracy theory suggests that her relationship with Davidson is rooted in jealousy and trying to claim back the spotlight.
The main conspiracy theory circulating online relates more to the relationship as being a cover-up for more serious matters.
Some fans speculate that the relationship may be a PR stunt to distract from the tragedy of Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival, which occurred on the 6th of November. A total of ten people died as a result of the overcrowding, including an eight-year-old boy.
Scott was heavily criticized for not stopping the show. He has a history of encouraging violence at his performances and was arrested for inciting a riot at one of his concerts in May 2017. While the artist claimed he was unaware of the deaths, he was aware somebody had collapsed after seeing the ambulance in the crowd but after this, continued encouraging fans to storm the stage.
When confronted that the crowd was becoming out of control, Travis was recorded saying to the crowd ‘Who told me to stop?’ and continued performing. He currently has 140 lawsuits filed against him.
While the Kardashians were not directly involved with the tragedy, 24-year-old Kylie Jenner is currently pregnant with Travis Scott’s second child giving the family close ties to the rapper, who is currently under much scrutiny.
The nature of the relationship and its links to Astroworld are currently no more than a conspiracy, but fans are still uncertain whether Kim and Pete’s relationship will last.
Kim may simply be enjoying single life and being with a younger man and more of a ‘fling’ after her six-year marriage. However, the reality of being a reality star remains a mystery.
