After a video of James Corden stopping traffic for his Late Late Show went viral, people seem to be getting sick of the Late Show Host.

James Corden stopped traffic in LA this week with the cast of the new Cinderella film, as part of his ‘Crosswalk Concert’ segment of his Late, Late Show but it didn’t get the usual positive reaction that has in the past.

The video features James Corden dancing in a flashmob with Camila Cabello, Billy Porter, and Idina Menzel to promote Amazon’s new Cinderella film.

This Twitter user jokes ‘imagine you’re on your way home from an 18-hour shift in the ICU and you gotta stop for this shit. No jury in the world would convict you for what happened next’ and 50’000 likes seem to agree.

Why do people hate him?

So are people just sick of his bad jokes and antics or is there a bigger reason for all this James Corden hate?

This widespread tweet claims that James Corden attended a Writers Guild Association meeting to advocate for lowering the pay of late night writers.

Other anecdotes people have shared online about the Late Night Host also don’t paint a great picture of Corden.

This tweet from back in 2017 shares a Reddit post which claims that James Corden ignored his wife and baby on a long flight from New York to London.

There were also rumours that Corden was rude to production assistants and staff while filming the U.K. game show A League of Their Own.

It’s important to note these are all rumours after all, but an incident with Patrick Stewart back in 2010 at the Glamour Rewards has made people question his attitude and behaviour.

In the video, Patrick Stewart and James Corden clash about Corden’s appearance and demeanour whilst presenting, with Corden saying ‘when you come up and give an award, just f*****g get on with it.’

Ellen Degeneres All Over Again?

Many people will remember the downfall of daytime television host Ellen Degeneres last year. After a viral interview with Dakota Johnson showed Degeneres in a not-so-great light where she was rude to the Fifty Shades actress.

After this interaction, many people reported that Ellen Degeneres was rude and that there was a ‘toxic work environment‘ onset of ‘the Ellen Degeneres Show.’ The show was promptly canceled, ending next year with its 19th season.

Many people have now been making comparisons between Corden and Degerenes. Calling into question if the Late Late Show with James Corden might be in danger of getting cancelled too.

This twitter user jokes ‘James Corden is the next Ellen. We just need a Dakota Johnson.’

No matter your opinion on the Late Show Host, it seems the internet has officially turned against him, and that’s hard for anyone to recover from.
