Is there a better way to welcome a new year than watching a horror movie? Even if it’s not a new release, I love re-watching my favourite horror movies!

HBO Max often adds and removes new movies, like many other streaming platforms. You may notice a film on our list previously streaming there. And if you also want to know about other horror movies coming on HBO Max in 2023, then we have shared them below.

HBO Max horror shows and movies to stream (January 2023)

Hereditary, January 1
Vendetta (2022), January 1
Child’s Play (2019), January 1
The Menu, January 3

Finally, Hereditary is coming back to its rightful home. It is not the original, but the 2019 remake starring Mark Hamill, Aubrey Plaza, and Gabriel Bateman.

Vendetta may not be a horror movie, but it is action-thriller revenge worth watching! It stars Theo Rossi, Bruce Willis, and Mike Tyson. The story follows William Duncan, a former marine who seeks revenge for the death of his daughter. And he took it and watched a movie to know how he did that.

Finally, we have The Menu, a horror movie that is a lot of fun for several reasons. For starters, it’s not just a horror movie but a dark comedy. The Menu stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, and many more.
