After the popularity of season 1, Netflix’s Mindhunter was renewed for a second season, with producer and director David Fincher said to also be returning.
Fincher’s participation was said to play a major role in the popularity of the show. So fans are excited to see him return for season two.
Playlist have recently gotten their hands on the roster of directors on board for season 2. Just like season one, Fincher is set to direct the season premier and finale and will entrust the rest of the season in Andrew Dominik and Carl Franklin’s capable hands.
Fincher has said to put filming on hold for World War Z 2 until 2019, so he can prioritise the next instalment of Mindhunter.
Season two will consist of eight episodes, set in Southern Georgia and will be focusing on the infamous Atlanta child murderers and serial killer Wayne Williams, said to have killed twenty three children between 1970 and 80. In real life, Wayne Williams was tried, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for killing two men, but was never convicted for the deaths of the children.
Stars: Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany and Anna Torv will also be returning for the second round of psychological thrillers which gripped Netflix viewer’s last year.

Earlier this year, Groff teased fans by saying: “I have seen scripts, but I can’t say anything about them. I am excited to go back,” he explained. “I can’t say anything about it and I don’t want [David Fincher] to get mad and I don’t want to spoil it.”
As far as we know there has been no confirmed release date for Mindhunter yet, but we can expect to see it on Netflix later this year.
