Bottled water is a doubled-edged sword for most people. Plastic bottles are causing serious global environmental issues. But clean drinking water is still the “nectar of the gods” for folks who don’t trust tap water. In fact, tap water in certain countries isn’t clean enough to drink. And the countries that process water to make it drinkable give the water, an aftertaste that can be worse than the aftertaste of castor oil. Most of the bottled water companies are big corporations that have a plethora of products that entice consumers with fancy marketing tricks and price concessions, so quality control isn’t what it should be, according to some water experts.

But the bottle water drinkers that understand the value of clean water don’t bother with the capitalistic watering mavens who are in the water industry to boost corporate profits. Water connoisseurs want the real deal when it comes to drinking water, and you can’t get more real than Waiakea Hawaiian Volcano Water, The Waiakea water ph ranges from 7.8 to 8.8. The ph factor in other premium water brands is about 7.0.

Waiakea Hawaiian Volcano Water is a relatively new player in the premium water sector of the economy. Twenty-two-year-old Ryan Emmons identified a hole in the bottled water industry. And he decided to fill that hole with water that originates from the snowcapped top of the Mauna Loa volcano. The Santa Barbara native surfs in his spare time, and he says the idea for his volcano water came to him on a surfboard, but he also credits his environmentally responsible mentality. He wanted to create a socially conscious, and youth-oriented water brand that caters to Millennials. Millennials understand the difference between pure water, and the water the big companies say is pure. According to Emmons and other water experts, water from the top of the Mauna Loa volcano is the purest water on Earth.

Emmons makes statements like that because the water drips through 14,000 feet of volcanic rock, and it acquires important minerals like magnesium, calcium, and potassium as it makes its way to the sea level. It doesn’t take a medical degree to know those minerals are essential elements for healthy skin, nails, bones, and hair.

You might think Waiakea water ph is too rich for human consumption. But new studies show the silica produced by the minerals in the volcanic water can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s by 11 percent. Ryan was never a fan of artificial alkaline water. Clinical studies show artificial alkaline water causes some annoying side effects. Emmons decided to launch his Waiakea Hawaiian Volcano Water company in 2012. And the response to his entrepreneurial endeavor was overwhelming.

Emmons volcanic water company is experiencing incredible growth. Emmons said his company annual growth is 170 percent, and the company’s six-year growth number is 4,000 percent. The company now sells more than 122,000 cases every year. The exceptional growth of the company is due to an overwhelming response from companies like Whole Foods, and other health and wellness conscious retailers. The current company valuation is $10 million, and investors know that valuation is going to increase as more consumers make a distinction between big brand bottle water and Waiakea Hawaiian Volcano Water.

The certified carbon-neutral plastic bottles that house the volcano water help consumers justify using plastic. Plus, for every liter consumers buy, Waiakea Hawaiian Volcano Water donates 650 liters to people in need through their partnership with PumpAid.

Emmons and co-founder Matt Meyer know they have a product that is head and shoulders above the competition in terms of natural ingredients. Drinking volcano water may sound like just a hot idea, but it’s more than that. It helps the body function naturally, and our minds get a little sharper thanks to the rich silica mixture in volcano water.
