A movie starring Margot Robbie, Danny McBride, and Hugh Jackman: sounds too good to be true, right? Well, you’re right. It is too good to be true. This viral marketing stunt released the following trailer for a fake movie, “Dundee,” frenzying people all over the world.
The trailer is packed to the brim with exciting moments, all happening Down Under. There is a quick clip of Qantas, the Australian airline, Danny McBride saying, “G’Day, Losers,” Margot Robbie chanting, “More beer! More beer!” and many more exciting moments that will make you wish that the trailer was real. We were so excited that even we at Trill thought that it was a real movie.
But sadly, this amazing idea for a movie that would probably break the box office is a marketing stunt to promote tourism in Australia. Clever as it may be, it was a sad moment when I realized I would not get to see these amazing actors in a feature-length film. But a couple of teasers that have been released might be enough to get you through.
