Former CIA Officer Is Crowdfunding To Ban Trump From Twitter

It’s about time.

Donald Trump’s Twitter antics—while sometimes entertaining—have gotten out of hand.

So much so, in fact, that one former CIA officer is hoping to get the Commander-in-chief barred from the social media platform altogether.

The former officer, Valerie Plame Wilson, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to buy a controlling share in Twitter stock.

Wilson cites many of Trump’s recent Twitter tirades—including his threats of nuclear war against North Korea—as reason for why the President should be banned.

Specifically, Wilson references several tweets that clearly breach the website’s terms and conditions, including the one below.

Despite Trump's obvious misuse of social media, Wilson believes that executives have overlooked the President's unseemly tweets because he generates traffic and revenue for the site.

As of August 25th, Wilson's campaign has raised over sixty thousand dollars, which is a far cry from the one billion dollars that will be needed to buy a controlling share of Twitter.

If her campaign is unable to reach its lofty goal, all the proceeds will be donated to Global Zero's movement to stop nuclear war.

While it's unlikely that she will succeed, you have to admire Wilson for taking action. And even if there's only a small chance of ridding Twitter of Trump, we might as well try.

In vaguely-related news, Trump's face has been turned into summer fashion items.
