Two Boys Eat £300 Worth Of Food During A Sainbury’s Lock-In

Party!

Party!

A common childhood fantasy is a lock-in, where you’d get to stay in a store after hours. Once all the adults were away, you’d be free to go crazy. You could have whatever you wanted and as much of it as you wanted. Two boys (ages 12 and 13) managed to pull one off in a Sainsbury’s for a couple of hours.

The boys hid in the store and waited for their chance. The doors close at 10 pm, and they waited the remaining stragglers to leave and the workers to lock up.

Then, they ran wild. They managed to get through £300 worth of food and alcohol until about 2 am, when shocked workers caught them during the early morning shift.

The store wasn’t actually empty while the boys ran amok, but according to a spokesman:

“No security is on after 10pm and a few night workers are mostly working in the same area as a small group rather than being spread around, hence why it took so long to discover the boys.”

If you’re interested in another lock-in story, then you should take a look at the time a radio DJ locked himself in the studio.
